Surrender Options
While we understand that sometimes difficult situations may arise that make it necessary for a pet owner to surrender their animal, we strongly encourage pet owners to exhaust all other options before making the decision to surrender their pet. We believe that every pet deserves a loving and permanent home, and we will always do our best to help pet owners find the resources and support they need to keep their pets. However, if surrendering a pet is the only option, we ask that you contact us to discuss the situation before bringing your pet to the shelter.
We will be happy to offer advice and assistance in finding alternative solutions, such as rehoming your pet or providing resources for behavior and training.
If after considering all options, surrendering the pet is the only viable alternative, we will be happy to take your pet in, but please understand that we will have to evaluate the pet’s behavior and health before we can guarantee a spot in our shelter.
