Meet Callie

Shepherd / Collie / Mixed (short coat)
Medium Young Female (spayed)

Hey everyone, it’s Callie here! I’ve got a heartfelt story to share with you—my journey from a scared, injured pup to a grateful, loving companion. Once upon a time, I found myself in a tough spot after being abandoned and injured in a scary encounter with a car. It was a terrifying experience, and I didn’t know if I would ever feel safe again.

But then, something amazing happened. Two incredible humans came into my life and changed everything. They scooped me up, cradled me in their arms, and showed me what it means to be loved. Their kindness and compassion transformed me, healing both my body and my soul. With each gentle touch and soothing word, I felt myself becoming stronger and more resilient.

Now, as I look back on my journey, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. The love and support I received from my rescuers gave me the strength to overcome even the darkest of days. Today, I am a different pup—a grateful pup, filled with love and ready to share it with the world.

Whether I'm snuggled up on the couch with my favorite humans or chasing after my favorite squeaky toy, I do it all with a heart full of joy and gratitude. Life as Callie is a constant reminder of the incredible power of love and compassion.

So, as I continue on this journey called life, I invite you to join me. Let’s spread love, kindness, and positivity wherever we go. Together, we can make the world a brighter and happier place—one wagging tail at a time. Woof woof! ❤️

How To Adopt

Adoption Requirements

The biggest requirement is that you are emotionally and financially ready to take care of and LOVE your new pet. You need a picture ID and if you are an apartment dweller you need to verify with your landlord that your pet is approved. Before leaving with your pet we will need to verify with your chosen veterinarian that an appointment has been made. We want to do everything possible to insure that the animals in our care transition to a caring environment.

  • State or Government issued ID
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Verifiable veterinarian
  • Pet must live inside
  • Fenced yard is a plus
  • Home check if there are any questions

What are the adoption fees?

Cats/Kittens – $125 and up
Puppies – $215 and up
Dogs – $200 and up

* Fees vary based on age and desirability of the specific dog or cat.

Why are there adoption fees?

The adoption fee includes the cost of spay/neuter surgery and a rabies vaccination for your new pet. To ensure your pet’s overall health and well-being, we require a visit with your own veterinarian for a check-up and any additional vaccinations that may be needed. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the support of our community through adoption fees, donations, and bequests to continue our mission of providing care for homeless animals and promoting spay/neuter programs for dogs and cats.
