Meet Buddy

Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Medium Young Male (neutered)
Hey there, it’s Buddy—and I’ve got a tail-wagging, heart-tugging story to share… and maybe, just maybe, you’re meant to be part of it.
Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I came all the way from Miami, where I was on the list to be put to sleep. But some amazing humans believed in me—and gave me a second chance. Now I’m living for belly rubs, squeaky toys, and the dream of finding my forever home.
Despite my past, I’ve held onto my sweet, goofy, and yes—feisty personality! I’m full of love, full of energy, and full of attitude in the best way. I’ve got spunk, charm, and just the right amount of sass to keep life exciting.
Here’s what you should know about me:
I was born in February 2021 and I’ve got plenty of youthful energy.
I’m already neutered and ready to go!
I love people and do well with medium to large dogs.
I’m a social butterfly—playful, affectionate, and always ready for snacks.
I’m very active, a little mouthy, and definitely feisty. I could benefit from some basic training to fine-tune my manners—but with the right person, I’ll thrive.
I do not do well with small dogs or small animals—they’re just not my vibe.
It is MANDATORY that adopters understand my breed traits and energy level. I’m not a laid-back lapdog—I’m a strong, driven pup who needs structure, play, and positive guidance.
It is also MANDATORY to schedule an appointment in advance to meet me. No walk-ins.
I’ve overcome so much and I know my forever home is out there—someone who gets my fire, loves my spark, and is ready for a loyal companion with tons of heart.

How To Adopt
Adoption Requirements
The biggest requirement is that you are emotionally and financially ready to take care of and LOVE your new pet. You need a picture ID and if you are an apartment dweller you need to verify with your landlord that your pet is approved. Before leaving with your pet we will need to verify with your chosen veterinarian that an appointment has been made. We want to do everything possible to insure that the animals in our care transition to a caring environment.
- State or Government issued ID
- Minimum age of 21
- Verifiable veterinarian
- Pet must live inside
- Fenced yard is a plus
- Home check if there are any questions
What are the adoption fees?
Cats/Kittens – $125 and up
Puppies – $215 and up
Dogs – $200 and up
* Fees vary based on age and desirability of the specific dog or cat.
Why are there adoption fees?
The adoption fee includes the cost of spay/neuter surgery and a rabies vaccination for your new pet. To ensure your pet’s overall health and well-being, we require a visit with your own veterinarian for a check-up and any additional vaccinations that may be needed. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the support of our community through adoption fees, donations, and bequests to continue our mission of providing care for homeless animals and promoting spay/neuter programs for dogs and cats.
